The area has been hit with heavy rain since Tuesday, 20 May 2025. 2025/05/16 Viet Nam : Landslide Heavy rainfall has been affecting north-western Vietnam, mainly the Lai Chau province since 16 May 2025, triggering a huge landslide that has resulted in casualties and damage. Media report, as of 19 May 2025, five fatalities and four injured persons due to a landslide event that occurred on 16 May in the morning at the construction site of a hydropower plant located in the Si Lo Lau commune, Phong Tho district, Lai Chau province. 2025/04/22 Indonesia : Flood Over the past few days, parts of Kalimantan and Java have been affected by floods caused by heavy rainfall, resulting in significant damage. The Thoughts of ADRC

ADRC was founded in 1998 in Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture.
The mission is to enhance disaster resilience of its member countries, to create safe communities where people can live with peace of mind, and to create a society that enables sustainable development.
For the purpose, the ADRC is promoting the establishment of multilateral networks through personnel exchanges and a variety of other programs for disaster risk reduction in Asia.
