At least 15 people have died and more than 1,500 have been forced from their homes after torrential rain triggered floods and landslides in South Korea.

Flooding affected North Chungcheong and Gyeonggi Province on 2 August. Since then officials reported a total of 13 dead and 13 missing, with more than 1,000 people evacuated and over 5,000 hectares of farm land inundated. Six people died in a landslide in Gyeonggi Province on 3 August.
