|Outline||High temperature and rapid snow and glacier melting from 1 to 15 July 2015 triggered mudflows in villages of Shugnan District, Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Oblast (GBAO), Tajikistan. The mudflow that occurred on 16 July 2015 caused significant damage to infrastructure and households in the villages. About 10,000 evacuated to safer sites.|

6 people were killed and more than 100 households (78 fully and 22 partially) destroyed as a result of mudflow in Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Oblast (GBAO).
According to the feedbacks and reports received from the Red Crescent Society of Tajikistan`s (RCST) response teams, REACT partners and Governmental Emergency Committee sources, up to 929 families (5,401 people) were directly affected: in GornoBadakhshan Autonomous Oblast (GBAO) and Rasht Directly Ruled Districts.
