ADRC study visit to the affected areas in the past
Since its establishment in 1998, Asian Disaster Reduction Center, ADRC has engaged in diverse activities to strengthen DRR capability in member countries. Amongst all, ADRC organized and joined study visits and projects soon after major natural disasters affecting member countries including those for the Gujarat earthquake in 2001, the Indian Ocean Earthquake and Tsunami in 2004, the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011 and the Nepal Earthquake in 2015.The study visit to Kumamoto was so far the third visit together with its member countries organized by ADRC.
