|More than 880,000 residents of Fujian Province of Eastern China have been affected by Typhoon Doksuri, which made landfall in the province on Friday morning, 28 July 2023.
The torrential rains and massive floods have left 11 dead in Beijing and 9 dead in Hebei Province.
Record-breaking rainfall induced by tropical cyclones has caused devastation and casualties in the Chinese capital Beijing and the surrounding province of Hebei. There were reports of more than a dozen casualties, with more than 125,000 people evacuated.
Two people have been killed during rainstorms in Beijing, and 52,384 have been relocated to safer places, as heavy downpours continued to lash the city and its neighboring province of Hebei on 31 July 2023.
The Fujian provincial flood control and drought relief headquarters on Saturday said that, as of 8:00 a.m. Saturday, 354,400 people have been evacuated and 146,200 people have been relocated to safer areas.
