|Outline||According to authorities (as of 10 October 2021), more than 120,000 people have been temporarily evacuated after continuous downpours triggered floods in Shanxi Province of north China. The floods have disrupted the lives of 1.76 million residents from 76 counties, cities and districts, according to the provincial department of emergency management.|

According to the official Chinese news agency (Xinhua), 15 people have died and three others are missing. About 120,100 people have been relocated to safer areas, as floods have destroyed or damaged 37,700 houses.
Some 190,000 hectares of crops were damaged and more than 17,000 houses collapsed, the department said.
