|Outline||A 7.2-magnitude earthquake struck southwestern Haiti at 8:30am on 14 August 2021 local time at a depth of around 10km. The epicentre was recorded around 12km northeast of SaintLouis-du-Sud, about 125km west of the capital Port-au-Prince. This earthquake caused various casualties and building/infrastructure damages.|

Around 212,000 people have lost access to safe drinking water services in the aftermath of the earthquake.
As of 3 September, nearly 46 per cent of affected families have received humanitarian assistance.

As of the latest updates issued on 25 August, the Haitian Civil Protection General Directorate (DGPC) reported 2,207 deaths,12,268 injured and 320 missing.
Authorities report more than 2,200 people dead, at least 344 missing, over 12,000 injured and upwards of 130,000 homes damaged or destroyed.
The death toll following the earthquake of 14 August has raised to 2,189 people while 332 are still missing, and more than 12,200 have been injured, as reported by the Haitian Civil Protection.
The death toll has climbed to nearly 2,000 and more than 9,900 injured, numbers that are likely to continue to rise as search and rescue operations are still ongoing.
Following the magnitude 7.2 earthquake that rocked southwest Haiti, 1,400 people died and more than 6,900 injured, while hundreds more remain missing.
The Haitian government declared a state of emergency after a 7.2-magnitude earthquake struck the country Saturday 14 August 2021, leaving at least 1,297 people dead and more than 5,700 injured, according to the civil protection agency of Haiti.
According to the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) and Civil Protection agency (DGPC) of Haiti at least 800 people have died, 2,800 others have been injured and 6,300 families affected.
The Civil Protection of Haiti reports at least 304 deaths and 1,800 injured so far, figures which are expected to rise.
