The death toll from torrential rains in Henan Province has risen to 302 as of Monday noon of 2 August 2021, the information office of the provincial government.
According to preliminary assessments, over 11.14 million people from 1,464 towns of 139 counties in Henan were affected by the recent heavy rainfall. 296,000 people require emergency support for basic needs.
The death toll in flood-hit Henan Province in central China has risen to 58 as record rainstorms wreaked havoc and five persons were reported missing as of 4 p.m. Saturday 24 July 2021 according to a local government press briefing.
Torrential rain has affected about 3 million people in Henan Province of the Central China, with 33 reported dead and eight still missing as of 4 a.m. Thursday 22 July, local authorities said.
At least a dozen people dead in its capital Zhengzhou after the city was drenched by what weather watchers said was the heaviest rain in 1,000 years.
