Torrential rains have caused flash flooding and landslides in more than 40 towns and villages in six provinces of Azerbaijane-Gharbi, Azerbaijane-Sharghi, Kordestan, Zanjan, Mazandaran and Ardebil in Iran’s northwest on Saturday,15 April 2017, killing at least 42 people according to the National Crisis Management Organization.
Others are said to be missing after torrential rains hit four provinces.
