|A second extremely rare and powerful cyclone in two weeks battered the Yemeni island of Socotra with hurricane-force winds on 8 November 2015. Around 5,000 people were evacuated.
Tropical Cyclone Megh made landfall in Socotra Island on 8 November, killing six people and causing significant damage to houses, fisheries, livestock and critical infrastructure.
A woman in her forties died when her home collapsed on her, and four others were wounded by Cyclone Megh.
