Due to the earthquakes, 306 were killed and 1,836 were injured while 157,403 (34,200 families) were affected.
The disaster has left 300 dead and approximately 2000 injured. An estimated 17,000 are in need of assistance.

The U.S. Geological Survey measured Saturday\'s first quake at 6.4 magnitude and said it struck 60 km (37 miles) northeast of the city of Tabriz at a depth of 9.9 km (6.2 miles) at 16:53 on 11 August 2012. A second quake measuring 6.3 struck 49 km (30 miles) northeast of Tabriz 11 minutes later at a similar depth.
The disaster has left 306 dead and more than 2,600 injured. An estimated 155,000 persons have been affected, out of whom more 50,000 have been resettled in tents.
