This year, flooding in Bangladesh is affecting over 1.5 million people spread over districts that span the length and breadth of the country. One million people, including more than 200,000 children are now thought to be homelesss.

More than 200,000 families have been affected in several districts including Satkhira, Jessore, Chittagong and Sirajganj.
The floods have caused ten deaths, left 30,000 people marooned and forced over 150,000 people from their homes.
Around 300,000 people in Cox\'s Bazar district are reported to be marooned as the flood situation deteriorated.
So far at least seven people have died in the floods. The homes of more than 20,000 people have been completely destroyed by the floodwaters, told IRIN, with another 84,000 homes partially damaged
