|Outline||An earthquake registering 6.3 on the Richter scale occurred near the Gulf port city of Bushehr in south-eastern Iran on 9 April 2013 at 16:22 local time (11:52 GMT). Preliminary reports indicate that the earthquake has resulted in 32 deaths. Some 850 people have also been injured|

The death toll is 35 persons (8 children), with some 800 people injured, of whom 80 have been hospitalized in Khormoj city hospital.
Around 1,000 people are sheltering in tents. Two villages in the region, Shanbeh and Sena, reportedly suffered considerable damage, with around 80 per cent of village infrastructure destroyed.
