|Outline||On 10 February the Government appealed for emergency humanitarian assistance in light of the worsening situation brought about by weeklong heavy rains. Over 25,000 people are affected, 4,000 houses/huts have been destroyed and numerous bridges and roads flooded or washed away.|

|An estimated 10,000 households, around 60,000 people have been affected. Over 34,000 people, including some 13,000 children under 12 years, require emergency assistance.
|At least three people have been reported killed.
