Outline A massive fire broke out in the forest of the Sholake valley, Kunar province. The fire started on 12 June, and it is continuing in all directions, and have burned over 5 hectares, devastated settlements.

According to Islamic Relief Agency (ISRA), No human losses were reported. On 24 June, according to ISRA, the fires had spread from Shorak to the neighbouring villages and caused partial burning of the natural forests in Badail and Kurangal villages. In total approximately 160 sq km of forest have been destroyed.
