There are a total of 19 confirmed deaths and an estimated 52,000 people affected across the Solomon Islands (population 515,870).
The Solomon Islands\' government says at least 16 people have died in flash flooding that has left thousands homeless in the capital, Honiara.
As many as 10,000 people have spent the night in temporary evacuation centres in Honiara with floodwaters inundating much of the city.
