Eight bodies were recovered from the mountain side village of Khaptad, 550 kilometers (345 miles) west of the Nepalese capital Katmandu, Brig. Gen. Dipak Gurung said Tuesday. The slide came down Sunday, destroying some 80 houses and leaving dozens missing.
