The month-long heatwave also killed more than 100 people in neighboring Bangladesh, while in Pakistan more than 65 people died in the past week, including at least 24 believed killed over the last 24 hours from the heat, authorities said.

Worst ever heat wave continued to sweep across the country, thus making public life miserable for the past several days. Met office sources indicated that moderate to severe heat wave would continue to sweep over Dhaka, Khulna, Rajshahi and Chittagong divisions and regions of Chandpur, Patuakhali, and Noakhali for next couple of days.
