Heavy rain and landslides triggered by the remnants of Typhoon Maysak damaged homes, farmland and infrastructure in Vietnam's northern provinces of Lao Cai and Cao Bang from July 4 to 6, with no casualties reported, the Vietnam News Agency reported Monday, 6 July 2026 .
In Lao Cai province, preliminary losses were estimated at nearly 6.3 billion Vietnamese dong (about 250,000 U.S. dollars), with 73 houses affected
