More than 600 residents in north Lismore, in northern New South Wales, have begun inspecting the damage to their homes after the worst flood in more than a decade. The Wilson River, which runs through Lismore, dropped to about 6.1m by 10am (AEST) today after peaking at 10.2m, but must recede further before many people can return home.
