Mongolia:Cold Wave:2002/04/05-08

Duration2002/04/05-08 In 5-8 April 2002, high velocity winds blew in Central and Eastern areas of Mongolia. Aimags of these areas suffered from severe heavy dust and snowstorms. According to data issued by the State Board of Civil Defence, 2850 heads of animals in 33 soums of 8 aimags were killed by the dust and snowstorms. Wind velocity reached 16-34 M/Sec.
