Bangladesh:Heavy Rain, Flood, Landslide:2022/05/22

Duration2022/05/22 Heavy rainfall continues to cause widespread and severe flooding and landslides across parts of Bangladesh and north-eastern India, resulting in increased human impact. In Bangladesh, at least 10 people died and over 2 million were affected.

    According to the Government and UN Resident Coordinator, the floods in northeastern districts continue to affect more people with 7.2 million people impacted across 9 districts in the region. More than 481,000 people are displaced and took shelter in 1,605 flood shelters. Media reports suggest that at least 82 people and 4,000 livestock died.
