    The number of fatalities caused by heavy monsoon rainfall has reached 119, as reported by UN Bangladesh on 30 July. According to the UN assessment, 7.3 million people have been directly affected by monsoon floods throughout the country, and an estimated 308,000 people have been displaced.

    Monsoon rains continue to affect most of the country (particularly northern, north-eastern and south-eastern Divisions) since the second week of July. The UN Resident Coordinator for Bangladesh reports 71 fatalities across 21 Districts, more than 287,000 people displaced and around 4 million people affected.
