Duration2017/11/12 A 7.3-magnitude earthquake hit 19 miles (30km) southwest of Halabja near the northern border region between Iran and Iraq on November 12, killing at least 135 people and injuring hundreds more.

    As of 15 November, local media reported that the earthquake that hit close to the border between Iran and Iraq on 12 November has so far claimed at least 530 lives (most of them in Kermanshah, Iran) and 7,370 wounded people (of which at least 550 in Iraq). Houses and historical buildings have been damaged across eight cities, and 526 villages are severely affected.
