    The disaster prevention and mitigation chief said on Wednesday, 251,873 families in 4,609 villages were affected and 14 people had died as a consequence of flooding in the past month.
    Heavy rain had fallen over the area from July 5 to Aug 2 and caused flooding in 7,713 villages of 44 provinces. The floods had already drained in 34 provinces.

    Flooding in 18 districts of Sakon Nakhon province of the Northeast is still causing anxiety and serious problems. In Kalasin province, the flooding has inundated 439 villages in 70 tambons across 15 districts, affecting more than 10,000 households.
