    At least 22 persons have been killed or are missing by huge landslides and floods triggered by heavy rains on 28th July 2001,in Myagdi districts 160 kms northwest from Kathmandu.
    One person died and 15 others are missing at Urman village Development committee when landslides buried 10 houses, one school and damaged many other houses in the district Saturday night. A bridge was washed away as well.Seven persons are missing in floods and landslides at two other nearby villages in the district Saturday.
    Receiving immediately landslide and flood information,on 29th July,1st rescue and relief team have been sent to the disaster areas (20 kms from district headquarters Beni). The 2nd rescue and relief team of Chief District Officer (CDO) of Myagdi district, and police officials were visited the site by helicopter this afternoon.The team provided immediate relief to the victims from the District Disaster Relief Fund,according to our norms.
