Duration2001/01/26 A severe earthquake of magnitude 6.9 occurred at Bhuj 580 miles south west of NewDelhi, India. The number of the dead is16,487, and people injured is 146,713 persons. 269,382 houses was destroyed, 544,532 was damaged.(9 February 2001)
