Duration	2011/11	Flash floods and river floods have affected the North Eastern Kenya, since the onset of rains in the area in early November 2011. Consequently, thousands of people are in need of urgent humanitarian relief.

Report/Articles IFRC 2011/12/12 The Kenya Red Cross Society (KRCS) estimates that to date, at least 25 people have lost their lives in flood-related incidents and approximately 15,045 households (91,692 people) have been displaced from their homes. Kenya Red Cross 2011/12/08 The floods have adversely affected people living in the traditional houses. Water contamination has been reported in areas that depend on unprotected shallow wells and water pans especially in Wajir East, North, West and South.
