Duration 2011/10/12 Similarly to other countries in Central America, Costa Rica has been affected by intense rainfall brought by Tropical Depression 12-E. This weather front, combined with the effects of previous precipitations and the saturation of soils since early October, has caused severe damages in the western and southern regions of Costa Rica.
