The death toll from stifling heat in eastern India has risen to 31, officials said Monday.
State authorities have investigated 113 deaths since mid-March, said Snehalata Bhuyan, deputy secretary of Orissa state\'s disaster management department.
Thirty-one of the 113 have been confirmed as sun stroke deaths, she said.
