Monsoon has favourably brought succour to the dry areas of the country. Elsewhere though monsoon has created an emergency in the form of flash floods resulting in wide scale destruction. The state of Rajasthan has reported a cumulative rainfall of 261mm for the months of June, July and 1st week of August, yet 30 mm less than expected normal.
