Report/Articles NDRCC 2008/03/22 Due to the earthquake on 21 March 2008, 44,365 people were affected in Xinjiang. Also 210 houses were collapsed and 5,277 houses were damaged. (Chinese) Xinhua News　2008/03/21 At least a dozen earthquakes jolted Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in China\'s remote northwest on Friday. Four houses in Pulu, the nearest village to the epicenter located in the sparsely-inhabited Kunlun Mountain region, collapsed during the first tremor, but the dwellers escaped.
