  • Geographical information technologies and their application for emergency losses estimation and response;
  • GIS technology application for risk assessment;
  • Zonation of areas according to risk level and compiling risk maps using GIS technologies;
  • Principles of risk management strategy;
  • Technology of economic loss assessment following emergency situations;
  • Development of GIS project for the territory of the country (region) the students come from.
After completing the training course students gain knowledge and experience in:

  • Development of GIS projects for the territory of the country (region) the students come from, providing different thematic input data bases (natural and techno-logical hazards, existing building stock, population, critical facilities etc.).
