operated by
International Institute for Aerospace Surveys and Earth Science
The occurrence of Natural Hazards, such as earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, floods and landslides, is a serious constraint on economic development, particularly in developing countries, where the economic loss due to the impact of natural hazards often makes the difference between economic growth and stagnation. On the other hand practice has shown that adequate hazard mitigation is possible. This course will teach you how to collect, manage and apply Geoinformation in real world cases of natural hazard mitigation.
