Personal & team Security management in Emergencies
operated by
Error:No match Country_CODE for RedR-I
Increasingly, humanitarian aid workers are exposed to insecure environments due to lawlessness, civic unrest, insurgency, political instability and war. Often, humanitarian aid workers operate in remote and inaccessible areas with poor infrastructure and communication and are thus devoid of any external support. This is more so after a major calamity. There is thus a compelling reason for all humanitarian workers, especially the managers, to have a good grasp of the theoretical understanding and the skills to be able to operate in adverse and insecure environments. As things stand today, little has been done to educate and train aid workers in this area. The course is aimed at enhancing the ability of participants to perform their role safely and effectively in the field and also help the team members perform with adequate safety.
