This workshop prepares participants to provide a variety of crisis intervention services with an emphasis on the CISM technique and how it may be applied to emergency services and disaster response personnel. This includes pre-incident education, defusings, demobilizations, significant other support and debriefings. Crisis intervention team development will also be discussed. Mental health and peer support staff will benefit from this workshop.
