Teaches health services paid and volunteer staff how to provide emergency and preventative health service, plus emotional support to victims and workers at the local level. It also Prepares Red Cross paid and volunteer staff for entry-level assignment to the Disaster Health Services (DHS) function on a disaster operation that extends beyond the scope of an operation conducted by a single Red Cross chapter and that often is nationally administered.
