Response Information Management System(RIMS)

This course focuses on the use of RIMS within an Emergency Operation Center(EOC). Particular attention is given to EOCs, the jurisdictions' Standerdise Emergency Management Systems (SEMS) levels and functions that may be using RIMS. When participants attend and interact in CSTI's state-of-art computer lab, they will learn RIMS uses and limitations from those who developed it. The goals is for participants to return to their jurissdictions with an understanding of how RIMS can facilitate resource coordination between EOCs during disasters.The topics will include hands-on training in completion of RIMS/SEMS forms, purpose and functions of RIMS, use of RIMS to access information, using RIMS in the Eoc Environment, practical application exercises using RIMS at all levels, RIMS now and in the future
