EM 301 Incident Command System Issues

Emphasis on pre-planning and testing of plans. Areas include general policy and sub-plans which cover transportation, communication, public works/engineering, fire fighting, information and planning, mass care, resource support, health/medical, USAR, HAZMAT, food and water/power. Another critical dimension discussed will be security of resources. Team disaster planning involving all affected agencies and the lack of one agency's ability to respond thereby disabling other agencies in their response, will also be described. This lecture includes an overview of the 911 emergency system
