This course will cover modules in Regional & Local Concepts, Organization & Management, Legislation & Agreements, Contingency Acquisition Agreements, and Case Analysis.
The variety of legal relationships possible before, during and after disasters, philosophical assumptions, and incidents which led to the development of these concepts will be covered in Regional & Local Concepts. Organization & Management covers the use of geographic regions, inventories and monitoring of equipment and personnel, command and control and political considerations. Documents and understandings are codified in Legislation & Agreements, and examples of agreements, requests and cost recovery are addressed. Contingency Acquisition Agreements investigates the nature, types and management of pre-disaster contracts for logistics needs. A final Case Analysis allows participant consulting teams to recommend approaches to planning and operating a small incident with mutual aid involved
