EM 107 Recovery Planning

Modules include: Recovery issues overview, Recovery Planning & Checklists, Cross-sector coordination, Support Systems, and a Recovery Case Study. Pre-disaster planning, business continuity, maintenance of local government, building and planning codes and practices, landlord/tenant, infrastructure replacement and financing are issues addressed in Recovery Issues Overview. Examples of the planning process and tools to prepare communities for recovery comprise Recovery Planning & Checklists. Cross-sector Coordination examines the relationships, benefits and pitfalls of partnerships that include business, government and community organizations in recovery. In Support Systems, instruction identifies local, regional, state and federal resources for recovery. The Recovery Case Study will result in an assessment of the Northridge Earthquake recovery process by participant consulting teams
