Crisis Communication and the Media - First Level CCM1

This three level course is designed for anyone who will be working with the media in times of crisis. Although this is the first part in a three parts series, the first level is not a basic course. The program emphasises the importance of developing a PIO Team, communication skills, team work and leadership. Participants engaged in a public speaking exercises and media interview sessions. Classroom sessions are information-intense, with breakout sessions designed to help participants apply principles and techniques taught in the discussions. Participants will meet representatives from agencies typically involved in a crisis of major proportions.
