Post-Secondary Institutions Emergency Planning

The purpose of this course is to provide the Post-Secondary Institution Emergency Planner the basic knowledge for preparing emergency plans and institution/ municipal agreements in response to emergencies. The course will introduce the theory of emergency management, planning, hazard analysis, operational procedures, and the control and coordinating function associated with emergency response and recovery. It will emphasize the need for campus officials with planning and response roles to develop plans to respond to emergencies. Information presented throughout the course will be reinforced by a series of group exercise/discussion activities.
