This course is designed to train participants in the tactics and techniques of conducting rescue operations in Urban Search and Rescue incidents. The capacity of the course is limited to 20 participants. The contents are; principles of USAR operation, search and rescue techniques, BA proficiency training, fundamentals of rescue in collapsed structures, confined space rescue, heights and road traffic accident rescue, scenario-based exercises. The objectives are to, explain the concepts and principles in managing and handling urban search and rescue operations, conduct rescue operations professionally under various rescue scenarios, demonstrate a high level of rescue skills proficiency and equipment know-how to effectively mitigate a USAR incident.
