Severe rainfall in central China\'s Hunan Province since June has affected over 12 million people and left 83 dead or missing, the provincial government said Sunday.

Flooding has left 10 people dead and four others missing in southwest China, Guizhou Province, according to provincial authorities. Heavy rain has inundated the province since June 22, affecting nearly 200,000 residents in 30 counties, districts, and cities. Flooding has damaged more than 60,000 hectares of crops and damaged or destroyed over 7,000 residential buildings.
Continuous torrential rain since Thursday in parts of Anhui, Hunan, Zhejiang and Guizhou provinces affected at least 3.5 million people.
Rain-triggered disasters have also left at least 22 people dead and six missing in provinces of Jiangxi, Guizhou, Hunan, Yunnan and Anhui.
Floods have affected 334,000 people in 13 counties and districts, toppling 46 houses and forcing the evacuation of 9,100 people in Hunan.
