According to local authorities 24 persons have been killed, while more than 63 persons injured. In Battagram, a landslide caused by the earthquake, killed 13 persons. Kohistan and Bisham districts have also reported deaths.

At least 24 people were killed when an earthquake, measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale, hit several cities in Pakistan including parts of the North West Frontier Province (NWFP), Azad Kashmir and Islamabad on 14 February.The earthquake's epicentre was 200 kilometres northeast of Peshawar.

Three strong earthquakes rattled a remote region of northern Pakistan, toppling walls and setting off landslides that killed at least 20 people, officials said. More than 150 homes were damaged and 30 other people injured.
