Kyrgyz Republic:Flood:2023/08/07

Duration2023/08/07 On 7 August 2023, around 17:00 hours local time, mudflows occurred in the villages of Ken-Suu, Bayzak, Taldy-Suu, Korumdu, and Koochu in the Tup district of the Issyk-Kul region, Kyrgyz Republic due to short-term rains. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MoES) and local authorities, 200 households were directly impacted by the disaster, however, preliminarily, 60% of the total population (13,000 people) of the five affected villages are in need of assistance of various degrees.
