Duration2022/09/17 Thousands of people were in shelters in southern island of Kyushu, Japan on Sunday 18 September 2022 as Typhoon Nanmadol (No. 14), one of the biggest typhoons ever to strike Japan, churned toward the region, prompting authorities to urge nearly 3 million residents to evacuate.
