A series of huge earthquakes occurred in Kumamoto prefecture, Kyushu region of Japan. The magnitude 6.5 earthquake on 14 April, the magnitude 7.0 earthquake on 16 April and many aftershocks have brought about serious damages in Kumamoto and neighboring prefectures.
